Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of barclaywholesale.com and any order you place with Barclay Wholesale Ltd. ("Barclay Wholesale", "we", "us"). Please read them before using the site or ordering, because by doing either you agree to them.

Effective 1 August 2026. We may update these terms; the version published here at the time you place an order is the one that applies to that order.

Who we are

Barclay Wholesale Ltd. is a Canadian, family-operated janitorial and sanitation supplier based at 809 Concession 10, Dobbinton, Ontario N0H 1L0, serving businesses and organizations across the Grey Bruce region. You can reach us at info@barclaywholesale.com.

Who may order

The site is intended for businesses, institutions and organizations buying supplies for their operations, and for individuals aged 18 or over with the legal capacity to enter a contract. Many of the products we sell are commercial-grade and are supplied on the basis that they will be used in a workplace by people trained to handle them.

We deliver within our service area in Grey and Bruce Counties and the surrounding region. If you are outside it, contact us before ordering and we will tell you what we can do.

Products, descriptions and safety information

We describe our products as accurately as we can, but packaging, formulations, sizes and manufacturer specifications change. Product images are illustrative and a case, pack or container may not look exactly as pictured. Where a product listing and the manufacturer’s own labelling disagree, the manufacturer’s labelling governs.

Many of the products we sell are cleaning chemicals and other controlled products. It is your responsibility to read the manufacturer’s label and the applicable Safety Data Sheet before use, to use the product only for its intended purpose and in accordance with those instructions, and to provide your workers with the training and protective equipment the product requires. Safety Data Sheets are available on our Safety Data Sheets page and on request.

Prices and quotes

Prices shown on the site are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes and any delivery charge unless stated otherwise. Prices reflect our catalogue at the time of viewing and may change without notice.

Some products are not priced online and are marked for quotation. For those items, and for volume or contract pricing, contact us and we will quote you. A quote is valid for the period stated on it, or 30 days if no period is stated, and is subject to product availability.

Applicable Ontario taxes are added at the time of order. If your organization holds a valid exemption, tell us before ordering so we can verify it and apply it to your account; we cannot apply an exemption retroactively to an order already processed.

Despite our efforts, a price, specification or availability shown on the site may be wrong. Where an error is obvious, we may correct it and will not be obliged to supply at the incorrect price. If it affects an order you have placed, we will contact you before proceeding and you may cancel.

Orders and acceptance

An order you place on the site is an offer to buy. It is not accepted, and no contract exists, until we confirm it.

Every website order is reviewed by our office before it is released — orders are never issued automatically. We check stock, pricing, delivery and, where relevant, the suitability of a product for the use you have described. You will receive an acknowledgement when your order reaches us and a separate confirmation once it has been reviewed and accepted. Only that confirmation forms the contract.

We may decline an order, or accept it in part, for reasons including the following:

  • The product is out of stock, discontinued or no longer available from the manufacturer
  • The price or product information was listed in error
  • The delivery address falls outside the area we serve
  • We are unable to verify the details you have given us, or payment is not authorized
  • The quantity ordered is outside what we would normally supply, or the product is restricted

If we decline an order after you have paid, we will refund you in full.

Payment

Where an order is paid online, card payments are handled by our payment provider on their own secure systems. We do not receive or store your full card details. Submitting an order authorizes the applicable charge once your order has been accepted.

Account customers may be invoiced on agreed terms. Where an account has been extended to you, payment is due on the terms shown on the invoice, and we may suspend an account or place further orders on hold while an amount remains overdue.

Delivery and pickup

We deliver on our own routes through Grey and Bruce Counties, and orders can be collected from us by arrangement. Delivery dates and times we give you are estimates based on our route schedule; we will tell you if something is going to be late, but we are not liable for losses caused by a delay outside our reasonable control.

Risk in the products passes to you on delivery or collection. Title passes to you when we have received payment in full.

Please check your delivery when it arrives. Tell us about a shortage, an incorrect item or visible damage within 48 hours of delivery so we can put it right quickly; claims made later are harder for us to resolve with our own suppliers and carriers.

Returns and cancellations

Contact us before returning anything, so we can authorize the return and tell you how to send it back. Products must be returned unused, in their original and unopened packaging, in resaleable condition, normally within 30 days of delivery. We may apply a restocking charge on returns that are not the result of our error.

Some items cannot be returned once supplied. These include opened or partially used chemicals, products with a broken seal, food-contact and hygiene items where the packaging has been opened, and special-order or custom items brought in specifically for you.

If we sent you the wrong product, or a product arrives damaged or defective, we will replace it, collect it or refund it — the choice is yours — at no cost to you.

You may cancel an order at no charge before we have accepted it. After acceptance, tell us as soon as possible: we will cancel it if it has not yet been picked or dispatched, and if it has, the returns terms above apply.

Accounts

If we give you an account for the site, keep your login details confidential, give us accurate information and keep it up to date, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used your account. You are responsible for orders placed through your account.

Using the website

You may use this site to browse our catalogue, request quotes and place orders. You may not use it to attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or to any system connected to it, to interfere with its operation or security, to introduce malicious code, to extract our catalogue or pricing by automated means for a competing purpose, or to impersonate anyone. We may suspend or withdraw access if you do.

Intellectual property

The Barclay Wholesale name and logo, the design and content of this site, and our catalogue descriptions, photography and arrangement of products belong to us or to our suppliers and licensors. You may view, download and print pages for the purpose of buying from us or evaluating our products for your organization. Any other use — in particular republication, resale, or systematic copying of our catalogue — requires our written permission. Manufacturer brands and product names remain the property of their owners.

We link to manufacturer sites, Safety Data Sheet libraries and other third-party resources where they are useful to you. Those sites are not under our control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability, and a link is not an endorsement.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We provide the website itself on an "as is" and "as available" basis and do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. This does not affect the products: those are supplied with the warranties the manufacturer gives and with the protections applicable law provides.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profits or business interruption, or for losses arising from use of a product otherwise than in accordance with its labelling and Safety Data Sheet. Where we are liable in connection with an order, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the products concerned.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any right you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or any other legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, or from the handling, storage, use or resale of products you buy from us other than in accordance with their labelling, Safety Data Sheet and applicable law.

Privacy

Information you give us is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms from time to time and will publish the current version on this page. Changes apply to orders placed after they are published; they do not change the terms of an order we have already accepted.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of an order, are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, and nothing here prevents a consumer from bringing a claim where applicable law entitles them to.
